Celebrating UNITY in the commUNITY

Volunteers are the lifeblood of any commUNITY and priceless in all their selfless acts of courage, passion and dedication to working with others SIDE by SIDE in UNITY to create and make a better commUNITY, both locally and globally.

I would like to say thank you to all the loving, selfless, compassionate and dedicated volunteers that sacrifice countless hours to make the commUNITY of Edmonton as great as it is.

“I bear testimony to you that unconditional love is the heart, mind and soul of a volunteer.”

Rob Bernshaw

I say that because over the years I have been and still am a volunteer on various boards, associations and charity organizations both locally and internationally. The feeling of warmth and love for others grows exponentially every time I volunteer here in Edmonton and overseas. Because being a volunteer in the local commUNITY of Edmonton will open up opportunities in the global commUNITY more than one can imagine.

I believe we are all loving caring human beings no different on the inside than anyone else in the world. That is why I have found these excellent YouTube videos that celebrate us as human beings in a bigger picture of understanding, and compassion, that we may not always see. Take time to celebrate UNITY in the commUNITY in order to understand that we are truly the same. With understanding comes compassion, love, mercy, celebration and joy for being human

When I find more celebrating UNITY in commUNITY videos I will post here.

“Wherever you turn, you can find someone who needs you. Even if it is a little thing, do something for which there is no pay but the privilege of doing it. Remember, you don’t live in the world all of your own.”

~Albert Schweitzer

“Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve…. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

~Martin Luther King, Jr.
